Filmfestival Cottbus

Founded in 1991, the festival is one of the leading international festivals of Eastern European film. It provides a unique overview of current filmmaking in Central and Eastern Europe, from quiet auteur cinema to political thrillers to gaudy blockbusters, from romantic comedies to fairy-tale children's films to intimate coming-of-age stories.
