Devid Striesow is a German actor known for his versatile talent and presence in both film and television. Born on October 1, 1973, in Bergen auf Rügen, East Germany, he has garnered acclaim for his work in the German film industry. Striesow's notable film appearances include "Yella" (2007), directed by Christian Petzold, and the critically acclaimed "The Counterfeiters" (2007), which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He also appeared in "Three" (2010) directed by Tom Tykwer. In addition to his film roles, Striesow has made significant contributions to German television, starring as the lead in the popular crime series "Tatort" from 2013 to 2018.
