Kickboxing is 23-year-old Ahmet's life but as personal problems mount he loses control and commits a violent felony at a disco. His last chance is an anti-aggression training program. But Ahmet is now not only confronted with the challenges of his boxing career, but is pushed to the limit psychologically by confrontations with his two social workers, who force him to deal with his inner conflicts. Shadow boxing is an exercise where the athlete boxes with his shadow. In other words, a shadow boxer is someone who fights himself. In Jannis Lenz's short portrait, Ahmet Simsek faces a turning point. Sentenced to probation for assault, he has one final chance: If he’s given a positive evaluation after an anger-management training, he won’t have to go to jail.
