A team of scientists sets out on an expedition to Serra da Mocidade mountains in northern Brazil where they hope to find undiscovered species.
The mountains, surrounded by rainforest, are still untouched land, with creatures that no human being has ever seen. Ten years ago, the experienced scientist Professor Mario Cohn-Haft discovered the isolated mountain range with its enormous height on the maps. Since then, a plan of superlatives has been germinating in him: he wants to carry out an expedition that, in terms of logistics and planned results, is unparalleled in the history of science. Mario Cohn-Haft suspects an undreamt of number of new species of animals and plants on the mountains surrounded by lowland rainforest.
