They skate, smoke pot, rap and casually compare their scars from gunshot wounds. A quasi-fictional portrait of the disenfranchised youth in a neighborhood in Contagem, Brazil. They live Juninho, Menor, Neguinho, Adilson and Eldo, four young people between childhood and adulthood. In the iron grip of precarious circumstances, they manage to just get by. And now they’re playing themselves. "Uchoa’s work contains a social realism similar to that of Joyce: they both show us that life is random and unpredictable, that hardship is inevitable but that these marginalized communities matter. Like Joyce, Uchoa is non-judgmental and dares to use multiplicity of voice to produce an unashamedly political work." (BFI London)
