When their cousin comes to live at their remote beekeeping farm, sisters Juana and Mara become trapped in a vortex of seduction and jealousy.
Juana (Malena Filmus) and Mara are orphaned teenage sisters living with their Aunt Inés, who is rather distracted by an affair she is having with a married man. The young women spend their days harvesting honey for Inés to sell.
With the arrival of their teenage cousin Lucio, the delicate balance of their lives is upended.
"A very impressive and compelling film that works so well because it combines traditional drama and thriller elements, realism and allegory, and manages to create erotic tension simply by trusting the viewer to read between the lines." (Search My Trash)
