His name was known around the world: Jamal Khashoggi. The Saudi government acknowledged Khashoggi's killing. Bryan Fogel's film reconstructs the events and raises the question: Why did Khashoggi have to die? The journalist largely supported the young Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his reforms to modernize the country. There was only one thing he criticized: that in the kingdom, only the ruler's opinion is valid. Khashoggi said he was not calling for democracy, just that the people be allowed to speak.
