Berlinale regular Denis Côte proves that external constraints, such as those imposed by a pandemic, can give enormous wings to creative and narrative inventiveness. Antonin (Maxim Gaudette) is a dandy who steals from tourists by day because at least that's an honest job. In conversations, the five women in his life - his sister, his wife, his beloved, a tax official and a woman who becomes a victim of his petty crimes - question his lifestyle. "Côté's use of language is playful, unleashed. It's a joy to witness the concentrated impact of diction and inflection as he gradually gets to grips with his eloquently wrestling protagonists*."
