While growing up, filmmaker Michael Stock was sexually abused by his own father. Two decades later he confronts his family.
He sends the resulting video message to his father in the form of a documentary film. Despite unspeakable experiences, POSTCARD TO DADDY is not marked by hatred, but by hope and a love for life.
"With unsparing openness, which never becomes exhibitionism, the filmmaker gives an intimate insight into his suffering during and after the abuse." (Victory Column Jury - Berlinale)
"The fact that this is perhaps the first time we understand what sexual abuse of a child means is what makes this film so valuable." (deutschlandfunkkultur.de)
