Mr. Kato is blind and dreams of making a film. With a crew of specialists, he develops ways to make filmmaking accessible to non-sighted people.
This film starts with 13 minutes of black screen and throws the audience into the reality of the life of Hideyuki Kato, a sci-fi fan who has been blind since birth.
The camera accompanies him during the development and production of the film and shows what solutions the team found to make casting, set design and image composition literally tangible.
"Above all Kato’s envisioned mise-en-scène of action scenes, is thoroughly fascinating." (vcinemashow.com)
