In 1979, life of a 14-year-old boy changes forever when his mother introduces him to music by The Clash.
Shay Baker has to grow up quickly. While his father keeps the family afloat with a piano store and a second job as a cab driver, Shay takes care of his little sister and the household. His mother left the family years ago to pursue a career as a singer in London. One day she sends Shay a cassette of the band The Clash which sparks his interest in punk rock.
When Shay meets the punk Vivian, he not only falls in love for the first time, but also learns about the punk rock lifestyle through her. But when his father suffers a serious accident everything changes.
