A visual poem and a narrative about the fragmentation of a people, questioning the politics of filmmaking and the opportunism of artists. LIKE TWENTY IMPOSSIBLES is an exploration of life in Palestine under Israeli occupation. A documentary that at the same time questions what it means to be an artist and filmmaker under the harsh realities in Palestine, where filmmaking and even simple movement is a privilege. What inspired LIKE TWENTY IMPOSSIBLES is the continued fragmentation of us as Palestinians – how through the imposition of endless checkpoints and military barriers throughout our own land we have been separated from each other and also criminalized for the mere act of attempting freedom of movement – the right to travel from one place to another.
