Lawyer Anna represents abuse victims in court. When she enters into an affair with her rebellious stepson, she finds herself becoming the very thing she fights against in court.
Anna leads a modest life with her husband Peter. She has a successful career, a great family and a beautiful house on the edge of the forest. When Peter's rebellious teenage son from a previous marriage, Gustav, moves in with them, Anna crosses legal and moral lines. The affair is exposed, and Anna uses the methods her opponents use in court to defend herself.
"This ice-cold drama with thriller elements is anything but pleasing, but convinces with a strong Trine Dyrholm and a production that tells more with images than words." (film-reviews.com)
