The successful car dealer Claus leads a double life. In the evening he lives out his gambling addiction. When his son needs a place to sleep, he takes him to a poker night. This puts the father-son relationship quickly to the test. The 19 year old Silas has soon high debts and the fellow players turn out to be unscrupulous gangsters. Now Claus must find a way, how he can help his son, if his own life is in danger. The director describes the film as a study of human existence and society in crisis. The film deals with gambling addiction and its consequences, but also takes a critical look at Danish society.
