Spain in 1977: The dictatorship is over, but conservative values continue to shape everyday life. In Seville, a young generation is fighting for freedom and self-determination – led by Miguel, a talented artist who dreams of a future on stage. His mother Reme, rooted in old traditions, is confronted by him with a world she does not understand. As the first LGBTI activists organize around her, Reme involuntarily becomes part of this movement and must ask herself whether her love for her son is stronger than her social ideas. The film LOVE & REVOLUTION by Alejandro Marín tells a story of awakening and identity in a time of change. With an energetic soundtrack and haunting images, the film captures the spirit of an era in which courage and rebellion were inextricably linked. The cast delivers authentic performances, particularly Omar Banana and La Dani, who have received multiple awards for their performances.
