Crush My Heart

The despot and mafia patron Rocky leads a merciless regiment. Pepe, his nephew, delivers his begging income to him every day. When one day young Marcela comes to Vienna from their shared home village in eastern Slovakia to work off her father's debts under Rocky, a love story develops between Pepe and her. Due to family constraints and Rocky's self-interest in Marcela, however, the young couple are granted only a few moments of carefree happiness. "Pepe and Marcela are played by Roman Pokuta and Simona Kováčová, whom Makarová cast on social media, such as Facebook, because she was looking for an authentic cast( - unlike the casting agency, which wanted to whitewash). The fact that the two are absolute amateurs makes their acting and natural on-screen chemistry all the more impressive." (uncut)
