It Felt Like Love

Lila, an awkward adolescent girl, passes her time breaking into beach homes and tagging along on her pretty friend Chiara's dates with her new boyfriend, Patrick. Lila decides this will be the summer she loses her virginity, too. Her interest is piqued by Sammy, an older guy who is rumored to sleep with just about everyone. But Lila's attempts at sexual conquest take her beyond her limits and into dangerous new territory. "An innocent summer love of a little girl who slowly but surely develops into a woman and doesn't really know what that actually means. A movie about growing up blind." (Sooner curator Alina Yklymova) "Even as the movie delves deep into the characters' complex emotional lives, it subtly and gradually—yet ineluctably—conjures a world that I was sorry to leave." (The New Yorker)
