The Party Is Over

In a rehab clinic, two young women whose lives have been marked by drug addiction meet. Céleste, 19, has been experimenting with various substances since her youth, while 26-year-old Sihem is trying to make a fresh start after a personal loss. Despite their different backgrounds, they develop a deep friendship that gives them stability. But after breaking the rules together, they are discharged from the clinic and must face the challenges of everyday life without professional support. LA FÊTE EST FINIE is the directorial debut of Marie Garel-Weiss, who previously worked as a screenwriter. The film is partly based on her own experiences with addiction and withdrawal and stands out for its authentic portrayal of the subject matter. The leading roles are played by Zita Hanrot and Clémence Boisnard, whose performances have won multiple awards. Together, they received the award for Best Actress at the 2017 Festival international du film de Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Clémence Boisnard was also honored with the Swann d'Or for Female Discovery at the 2018 Festival du film de Cabourg. The film itself won the Audience Award at the 2017 Festival du film de Sarlat.
