Kaleche wakes up in the middle of the wilderness. She makes her way to the nearest settlement, just to be welcomed by a motley crew of residents, telling her she died. Struck by Amnesia, she plays along and accommodates herself to the afterlife. A guy named Thoma seems to be leader of the living-dead in the small village named Kati Kati. Further investigations also reveal him to be a functional alcoholic. "I was grieving the loss of a close friend and during one of their wakes, I heard someone say that my friend was lucky because she had left all of the weight of the world behind. That got me thinking. What if that’s not true. What if some of this baggage follows us to the other side." (Director's comment - Mbithi Masya)
