Aurore is thirteen years old and unhappy. She thinks her parents are complete failures. Sophie, her little sister, is the most annoying model child ever, and school is boring anyway. Until she gets the chance to join a rock band. Aurore had what you might call a best friend, Lola, but she managed to fall out with her. Last year she had a boyfriend, but Maxime is just a bore. School is a disaster because even though she is repeating her seventh year, her grades are terrible. As she says to her parents, “I have no choice but to kill myself. That will save money!” But one day a new substitute teacher arrives to teach the class French. The film MISS IMPOSSIBLE (original title: Jamais contente) by Émilie Deleuze is based on the young adult novel Le Journal d'Aurore by Marie Desplechin. The lead role of Aurore is played by Léna Magnien, who won the Prix Premiers Rendez-vous at the 2017 Cabourg Film Festival for her performance. The film was produced in 2016 and premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation Kplus section. It has also been shown at other international festivals, including the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.
