Silvered Water, Syria Self-Portrait

A first-hand look at the violence in Syria today, documented by people in the besieged city of Homs. Warning: Graphic violence. “In Syria, YouTubers film every day, then they die; others kill, then they film. In Paris, driven by my inexhaustible love for Syria, I realize that all I can do is film the sky and edit the footage I've posted. In the tension between my alienation in France and the revolution, an encounter took place. A young Kurdish woman from Homs started chatting with me and asked me: If your camera were here in Homs, what would you film? Silvered Water is the story of that encounter.”
