Steffi Kühnert

Steffi Kühnert is a German actress, radio speaker and theater director who has appeared in over 95 film and television productions. In HALT AUF FREIER STRECKE (2011), directed by Andreas Dresen, she played the role of Simone, the wife of Frank, who is suffering from an inoperable brain tumor. For her outstanding performance, she was nominated for the German Film Award in the category Best Female Lead. Kühnert had previously worked with Dresen in “Halbe Treppe” (2002) and “Wolke 9” (2008). On television, she has appeared in series such as “Tatort” and “In aller Freundschaft”. Steffi Kühnert was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in 1993 for her acting achievements in both East and West Germany. With her impressive range and profound character portrayals, Steffi Kühnert has established herself as one of Germany's most prolific actresses.
