Some of his notable films include "Ernst Thälmann – Sohn seiner Klasse" (1954) and "Ernst Thälmann – Führer seiner Klasse" (1955), where he portrayed the German Communist leader Ernst Thälmann. Minetti's work often aligned with the ideological narratives promoted by the GDR. He won several accolades for his performances, contributing significantly to the cultural landscape of East Germany until his death on November 10, 2006.
