He has studied at the Sibelius Academy and initially started his career as a cellist before transitioning to conducting. Lintu has been the Chief Conductor of several orchestras, including the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. Since 2013, he has served as the Chief Conductor of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
