Wepper is widely recognized for his role as Harry Klein in the iconic television series "Derrick" (1974-1998), where he played the assistant to Detective Derrick. This role cemented his status as a household name in Germany. Additionally, he starred as Commissioner Leo Kress in the long-running series "Der Kommissar" (1969-1976). In film, he appeared in "Cabaret" (1972), directed by Bob Fosse.
