Estrella Morenta

Estrella Morente is primarily known as a celebrated flamenco singer, not an actor or director. Born on August 14, 1980, in Las Gabias, Spain, she comes from a distinguished musical family; her father is the famous flamenco singer Enrique Morente, and her mother is the dancer Aurora Carbonell. Estrella burst onto the flamenco scene with her first album "Mi Cante Y Un Poema" in 2001, which received critical acclaim. Her work often blends traditional flamenco with modern elements, showcasing her unique voice and artistry. Morente also provided vocals for several film soundtracks, including Pedro Almodóvar's "Volver" (2006), where her rendition of the song "Volver" contributed significantly to the movie's atmosphere. She has received numerous awards and nominations throughout her career, including recognition from the Spanish music awards Premios de la Música.
