Dorka Gryllus

Dorka Gryllus is a Hungarian actress with an extensive career in film, television and theater. She gained international fame for her role in the film SOUL KITCHEN (2009), directed by Fatih Akin, which won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. Gryllus also played the lead role in “The Door” (2012), directed by István Szabó, alongside Helen Mirren. In the darkly comic thriller THE BAD KIDS (2015), she gave a convincing performance as a dedicated probation officer who has to deal with an unpredictable offender, played by Peter Kurth. The film combined social criticism with biting humor and was praised for its authentic characters.
