Dimitri Stapfer

Actor

Dimitri Stapfer, born in Olten, Switzerland in 1988, is a versatile actor who is convincing both on stage and in front of the camera. After his acting studies and master's degree at the Zurich University of the Arts (2014), he played in the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Zurich and later regularly at the Theater am Neumarkt and the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn. From 2016 to 2018, he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater St. Gallen, where he impressed audiences as Hamlet in “Hamlet” and in plays such as “Die Räuber” and “Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald”. In addition to his theater work, Stapfer can be seen in film and television productions and works as a speaker for radio plays and commercials. For his portrayal of the autistic Mika in the movie “Left Foot, Right Foot”, he received the Swiss Film Award (Quartz) in 2014. He also successfully toured Germany and Switzerland with the play “A Lovely Piece of Shit” with the collective Extraleben. Dimitri Stapfer inspires with his artistic versatility and his ability to portray profound and multifaceted characters.
