Cox Habbema was a Dutch actress and director known for her work both in the Netherlands and Germany. She was born on March 21, 1944, in Amsterdam and passed away on April 18, 2016. Habbema studied at the Drama Academy in Amsterdam before moving to East Germany, where she became an influential figure in the theater scene. She was associated with the Deutsches Theater in Berlin and had a significant impact on East German theater. In addition to her theater work, Habbema appeared in several films including "Das Versteck" (1977), "Lotte in Weimar" (1975), and the TV series "Polizeiruf 110". She was known for her versatility and strong stage presence. For her contributions to theater and film, she received various accolades, including the Art Prize of the German Democratic Republic.
