Coretta Scott King was not an actor or director, but rather, a prominent civil rights leader and the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. She played a major role in advocating for civil rights and social justice in the United States. After Dr. King's assassination in 1968, she continued his work, founding the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta. Coretta Scott King was instrumental in the establishment of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a national holiday.
