Ben Foster is an American actor known for his versatile and intense performances. He began his career in television with roles in shows like "Flash Forward" and "Freaks and Geeks." Foster gained recognition for his role in the film "3:10 to Yuma" (2007), where he played the psychopathic outlaw Charlie Prince. He continued to build his career with notable performances in "The Messenger" (2009), for which he received critical acclaim and a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.

Foster's other significant film roles include "Alpha Dog" (2006), "Pandorum" (2009), "The Mechanic" (2011), "Lone Survivor" (2013), and the critically acclaimed "Hell or High Water" (2016), where he played the volatile Tanner Howard. His performance in "Hell or High Water" earned him a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.
